Homemade Dishwasher Soap

I have recently been asked about the type of dishwasher soap I use, so this gives me the perfect opportunity to share the recipe. This is not my recipe, so I cannot take credit for it. Thanks and recognition goes out to my friend, Casey, who had previously shared it with me several months ago. Cheers Casey!

Homemade Dishwasher Soap

250 mL Borax
250 mL baking soda
100 mL citric acid powder (I order this from a local drug store AND explain that it is to meant for homemade dishwasher soap)
250 mL coarse Kosher salt

Mix together and store in an airtight container with a lid. Be sure to keep the lid on or the moisture from the air will cause the soap to clump. Casey advised me that she practically had to use a jackhammer to get a chunk for her dishwasher. I am not into jackhammering, so I heeded her advise. Use 15 mL per load.

NOTE: In the liquid section meant for rinsing, use vinegar for the rinse.
